The mission of Glitter-Free Productions, LLC is to provide an escape from the real world while working to improve it at the same time. We regard everyone involved – our artists, our performers, our volunteers, and our patrons – as partners in this endeavor.
.
What is a “Fairy Festival”?
Fairy Festivals are a bit different from Renaissance faires – we celebrate mythology, folklore, and fairy tales (with a dose of current popular fiction) and bring joy by presenting an eclectic blend of artistry, music, dance, fantasy costuming, and play. Our mission statement in-part declares that we strive, “to provide an escape from the world while working to improve it at the same time.”
.
Is the Festival accesable for everyone?
Everyone who wants to be a part of our magical yearly event should be able to, and we do our best to help make that happen. Sugg Farm’s grounds are natural grass and mostly flat. We also have wheelchair accesable toilets at each restroom area within the event. If you need closer parking, please make sure that your mirror tag is visible and our parking crews will direct you to our reserved parking spots.
.
May I bring my pet(s) to the Festival?
For the safety and comfort of everyone, we ask that attendees do not bring pets with them to The Festival of Legends. We understand that Sugg Park has a dog park, and anyone is free to run their dogs there during our weekend, but please no pets inside the event itself. Registered service animals are always welcome – if you are bringing a registered service animal to the event, please make sure your animal is clearly marked as a service animal (usually, this means it is wearing the official service animal vest).
.
Do I have to come in costume?
Only if you want to: jeans and t-shirts are just as welcome as dragon costumes, fairy wings, Steampunk and Dr. Who cosplay (all of which we – and you – will see). We do kindly ask that, whatever you wear, it is both appropriate for public viewing and that it “leaves the real world out of it”.
.
Can I come armed to the event?
We would prefer no live-steel (ie sharpened blades). If you do bring a sword, ax, mace, tetsubo, atlatl, or what-have-you to the event, we require that it be peace-tied (bound with cord so that it cannot be easily drawn). This applies to anything that looks like a weapon, be it a prop or battle-ready. We respectfully ask that no firearms, concealed or otherwise, be present at any of our events.
.
Can I bring a lunch?
Sorry, but we can only allow attendees to bring water into the event. No other outside food or drink within, please. We also kindly ask that attendees do not tail-gate or hold gatherings in our parking lot.
We have food restrictions / allergies – what are our options for food during the event day?
You can preview all of the food options that will be available at the event on our “Artists, Food, & Drink” page. If you cannot find options that work for you and your needs, you may bring along snacks that do work for you.
.
Does the event close due to weather?
The Festival of Legends is a rain-or-shine event. In the event of dangerous or severe weather (such as record-breaking winds…just an example…) we might close certain attractions, and we will post such on our Facebook account.
.
I bought a ticket on-line; how do I get it?
All tickets can be collected at Will Call, which will be located next to the ticket booth, which is located next to the Front Gate.
.
Can we hold a wedding (or birthday party, or bar mitzvah, etc.) at The Festival of Legends?
Of course! We love a celebration, and are happy to accommodate. To make arrangements, please email us at festivaloflegends@gmail.com
.
Can I bring my own tent / camping chairs and claim some space at the event?
Sorry, but for insurance reasons and by county permitting ordinances, we cannot allow patrons to establish sites or add tents to the event grounds. If you are worried about shade, there will be several large pavilions with chairs open for everyone to use.
.
How do I become a vendor or showcase an exhibit at the event?
Sorry, but we are no longer accepting new vendor applications for the 2025 event. Returning veteran vendors who have not yet applied should contact us at festivaloflegends@gmail.com
